Announcement: Covid-19 Emergency Care
Coronavirus (COVID-19)
COVID-19, or the Coronavirus, is currently making its way across the globe. To enhance the safety of our customers, we regret to inform you that:
- We are modify our schedule to limit people in waiting areas and give staff more time for sanitization
- For emergencies, please contact us immediately and please don't let your situation get worse. There may be delays and unavailable appointments at any time.
Following protocols in place
1. Patient evaluation / questionnaire
2. Patient delay for treatment for all patients who have traveled in the last 14 days to nations on list of WHO highest warning and based on Vietnam’s quarantine policy
- Patient who is high risk exposure to Covid-19 and body temperature below 37.3 C
- Postpone treatment until 14 days after exposure
- Instruct patients to self - quarantine
- Patient who is in high risk exposure to Covid-19 and body temperature higher than 37.3 C
- Immediately refer for self quarantine and refer to hospital for further examination
- Patient who is in low risk exposure to Covid-19 and Body temperature higher than 37.3 C
- Instruct patients to go hospital for medical care
- Patient who is in low risk exposure to Covid-19 and Body temperature below 37.3 C
- Performed treatment with extra-protection
- Avoid spatter or aerosol-generating procedure
3. Lobby protocol
- Temperature check of all people entering the clinic
- All patients and staff entering use hand sanitizer
- Medical clinic grade hand sanitizer at the reception counter and tables
- All areas routinely sprayed with virucidal agents after each client
- No magazines or toys for children or other shared items in clinic
- Cleaning and disinfecting public areas frequently, including door handles, chairs and bathrooms.
4. Staff Protocol in Dental Treatment
- Frequently Hand-washing following WHO guideline and hygiene
- Daily staff temperature checks
- All patients will rinse their mouth with anti-virulent solution 30 seconds before beginning procedures
- Use of high-speed evacuation for dental procedures
- Autoclaving dental handpieces after each patient
- One time use dental materials to avoid cross contamination of dental substances
- Rubber dam placement for isolation of teeth in procedures
- Restricting any staff with flu like symptoms or temperature from working
- Strictest sterilization of all equipment after every treatment
Generally our dental clinic and team are experts at preventing cross infection and we have been following WHO and CDC guidelines for 15 years.
- Personal Protective Equipment for Dentist and Staff
- Disposable hair cover, surgical mask, gloves
- Coat disinfection with disposable isolation clothing and/or surgical clothes outside Goggles and face shield
5. Other prevention methods
- No delivery or non staff personnel allowed in the clinic
- Avoiding all in close personal contact whenever possible such as handshaking
- Reduce appointments/ consultations using email/ telephone for notice to patients (reduce patient traffic)
- All staff aware of need of social distancing — avoid public places, avoiding mass gatherings and maintaining a distance of about 6 feet from others when possible when not at work
- Daily alert and communication groups for staff to be updated constantly
- Our Lunch – no sharing of food or drinks, avoid socializing
These measures are aimed to reduce and eliminate the risk for Covid-19. Coronaviruses are enveloped viruses, meaning they are one of the easiest kinds of viruses to destroy with the appropriate disinfectant product.
