I have had 9 crowns and two root canal treatments over that period. I have had Dr Tien for every visit since 2011. Dr Tien has completed her Masters in Dentistry at Sydney University. Dr Tien is very capable and is also very gentle. I am continually amazed at the quality and attention to detail that I receive. Westcoast has the latest equipment, products and procedures. My capable, professional and honest dentist, Dr Tien, is highly skilled and friendly, has a Masters Degree from the University of Sydney, Australia. The dental clinic uses the latest technology and in 2010 when I first visited, the clinic had x-ray equipment that even the specialist dentists did not have in Townsville, Queensland, Australia at that time. This year, 2024, I needed an implant with Dr Andrew, the Clinical Director. I had faith in his professional ability. Never having had an implant before, I was a little nervous. However, Dr Andrew was brilliant with putting me at ease and explaining throughout the procedure what was happening and the sensations I would feel etc. Dr Andrew also upgraded my implant from the Straumann to the BLX Sttaumann for no extra cost.As I would not be returning to Vietnam for 12 months, he made me night guards (for both upper and lower teeth) free of charge. Can you imagine any dentist in Townsville doing this for free? I was given an ice pack and antibiotics to take. Also, I was given Ibuprofen and codeine in case I needed it for any pain. Andrew explained the procedure and answered any questions I had. All the staff at Westcoast, including the front office, especially Vy, are professional with great English and easy to communicate with. Westcoast always gives you a suggested plan with a price for your dental work unlike my new dentist (my usual dentist has retired) where you receive a price for a crown and then there's x-rays and consults on top of that price so you end up paying way more than was originally quoted. At Westcoast I have never felt that I have been over serviced, as the dentist goes through your x-rays beside your chair and explains in detail what is going on in your mouth. You are encouraged to ask questions. Dr Tien informs you what she thinks is essential and what is preventative work that should take place. There is never any pressure to get work done. Westcoast is happy to send my x-rays and work that has been completed by them to my Australian dentist. I highly recommend Westcoast International Dental Clinic to everyone.
